Why we need to take action

Watch our latest videos and get Inspired

95% of the world's food is directly or indirectly produced by soil.

“ It takes 2,000 years for the earth to produce 10cm of soil. We take only a few years to deplete that soil to the point of infertility.”

EFFECTING OUR WATERWAYS

How we treat our soils also effects our groundwater & waterways

nutrient leaching

Nutrient Leaching

Incorrect fertilising leads to nutrient leaching, contaminating groundwater and waterways. Hundreds of tonnes of nutrients leach into the Swan Canning River system each year from over fertilised residential gardens.

eutrophication

Eutrophication

The result of nutrient leaching

Is the process by which a body of water becomes enriched in dissolved nutrients (such as phosphates) that stimulate the growth of aquatic plant life usually resulting in the depletion of dissolved oxygen

NPK Fertilisers

Control

Pre-blended fertilisers do not allow for control over the nutrient inputs applied to soil and often lead to over application of nutrients that are not utilised by plants.

Changing the way we Fertilise

everyone can help save our soils & our waterways
